A warm welcome to you.

I am Karen, an experienced, fully qualified and registered counsellor. I specialise in providing support to autistic individuals, and have extensive experience in this area.

Life can feel ever changing, and difficulties can arise at any point. At other times we may feel 'stuck', and not be able to move forward as we might wish.

You may be seeking counselling support because life has presented you with a particular challenge, such as a loss, bereavement, significant life change or transition, difficulties at work or problems in a relationship. These issues may be current, or have occured in the past and the effects remain with you today.
Perhaps you are experiencing new or familiar feelings and emotions such as anxiety, low mood or stress, which are uncomfortable or confusing. You may be uncertain about why they are present for you, and wish to understand and find new ways of being.

My aim is to work with you to help you gain awareness and understanding of yourself, your situation and your relationships with those around you, so that you are able to make choices and changes for a more satisfying life.

I use a Humanistic approach and I also incorporate a variety of other approaches (e.g mindfulness, cognitive-behaviour therapy), to meet your own specific needs.

Whether this is the first time you have sought counselling, or you have previous experience, it is important for you to find a counsellor who you feel able to talk to. I offer a free 30-minute consultation session so we can discuss how I may be able to help you, and you can ask any questions you may have.

I provide short- or long-term individual counselling for adults and young people. This includes working with autistic individuals and those with other neurodivergences.

My counselling room in Eastleigh is accessible from surrounding areas, including Chandler's Ford, Romsey, Winchester and Southampton.
