I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

The BACP states, “Choosing a practitioner who is a member of the BACP Register gives you an assurance that they meet the standards of proficiency and ethical practice you would expect”. I am bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and have regular supervision in line with the BACP requirements.
I keep up to date with current practice and research and am committed to my continuing personal and professional development. I am also a member of the Hampshire Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and am registered with the Counselling Directory.

I am a trained Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and have provided courses for the general public, NHS staff and professionals and people with autism spectrum conditions and learning disabilities.

My background is in the NHS, having worked in a multi-disciplinary team for people with learning disabilities for 20 years. I am able to provide counselling services for autistic individuals and those with other neurodivergences. I currently work part-time as a Senior Practitioner with the Southampton Autism Assessment Service.

My qualifications include:

I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly update my knowledge on a range of issues and approaches through courses, workshops and academic journals.
I have provided counselling to adults and young people within a busy and diverse Further Education setting in Hampshire.
In order to support those I work with, it is important to maintain my own wellbeing and self-awareness so that I may be fully present with you in the therapeutic relationship. I practice yoga, pilates and mindfulness meditation, and attend meditation sitting groups and retreats. I also receive my own personal therapy and undertake regular clinical supervision.
